Kay Floyd, an Oklahoma City attorney and judge, has officially announced her plans to run for House District 88, currently held by Representative Al McAffrey (D-Oklahoma City). He officially filed December 5th as a candidate for Senate District 46, which will be vacated by Senator Andrew Rice on January 15, 2011..
“Representative McAffrey has served the people of House District 88 with incredible distinction since 2006 and I will carry on his hard work”, said Floyd, “The citizens of this district have always demanded progressive leadership and I will make sure they are well represented in the Oklahoma House,”
Floyd stated, “If elected I will work to continue the revitalization of the area, create jobs for members of our community, and ensure that our children are provided a quality education. I have proudly called House District 88 my home for the past 17 years. I am invested in my community and I will work as hard as I can to improve upon it”.
No dates have been set yet regarding both the primary and general elections for the HD88 seat.
