Ethics reports filed today show Kay Floyd has raised the most money of every announced candidate in the House District 88 race. She announced her intentions to run for the house seat in November, in the event that Rep. Al McAffrey wins the special election for Senate District 46 on February 14th.

“When I decided to run, I knew that it would be a full-time commitment on my part, and upon making that decision, I have been fully committed to running a successful campaign. I believe these numbers prove my work ethic. Not only am I working hard as a candidate, but if elected I will continue to work hard as a representative,” said Floyd.

Floyd raised a total of $25,650.56 from over 85 donors. Her campaign has $23,047.46 cash on hand after their expenditures. Floyd significantly out-raised her opponents and has nearly three times the cash on hand than all of her opponents combined. The report covers from when she first filed her paperwork with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission on November 9th, 2011 to December 31, 2011.

Floyd added, “I’m very excited about the momentum our campaign has gained. To know that so many people believe in me as a candidate is a great motivator.”
